A favorite neighborhood tradition
Children’s Parade & Picnic
Bikes, scooters, balloons, games, crafts, treats, and a joyful procession into the park.

The tradition
A recurring reason to come together.
Children of all ages parade through the business district on scooters, bikes, strollers, and on foot before gathering at Madison Park playground for an afternoon of play. A Seattle Fire Department truck traditionally helps lead the way.
The picnic has grown into one of the neighborhood’s favorite yearly events, with games, face painting, crafts, music, snow cones, hot dogs, and plenty of ways for families and volunteers to join in.
